The one thing that Hudson Kennaugh had hoped for during qualifying was dry weather and being the UK, that didn’t happen. “Obviously I’m disappointed, I’m on the seventh row of the grid and I’m used to being at the front but things were just not going my way,” explained Kennaugh. During first qualifying, which was dry, Kennaugh was running in fourteenth place which considering his lack of track knowledge, was impressive in this competitive class. Unfortunately during the second session the rain kicked in and due to a logistical snag by the time Kennaugh could have got on track with cold tyres, he felt within himself that it was too late in the session and it wasn’t worth risking a crash. “I’m hoping for better weather tomorrow. I’m hoping for a top five which will be tough; however I’ll be gutted if I’m not top ten.” The Hurricane has a lot of work to do from the seventh row but he will give it his best shot.
