However a red flag came out due to oil on track and the race was stopped and counted back a lap giving the win to Sofuoglu. Jones had to settle for second place and Joan Lascorz picked up third place on the final step of the podium., Broc Parkes finished just off the podium in fourth place, he has been struggling with front end issues all weekend. His team-mate Tommy Hill didn’t have much luck either crashing out on the first lap of the race while trying to avoid another rider. Gianluca Vizziello was the first Italian rider home running in fifth place on the RG Yamaha. He was ahead of Matthieu Lagrive who finished on the podium last time out at the Eurospeedway. Arne Tode who was replacing the injured Robbin Harms rode to a superb seventh place. Simone Sanna took up eighth place ahead of former World Supersport Champion Sebastien Charpentier. The last place in the top ten went to Katsuaki Fujiwara.
