With mixed weather over the weekend and Raceway’s Yamaha on home soil everyone involved with the team were keen for a good result. Hudson looked strong throughout both qualifying sessions having dialled in a good wet set up in the earlier session he went onto put the Yamaha on the front row in third position. Race day saw Hudson get away cleanly from the start, battling at the front in extremely tricky conditions but with a red flag out after four laps with a heavy fall at Druids the team had it all to do again. The restart saw Hudson out in front passing Glen Richard's down Cascades almost immediately slotting into the lead, Hudson held off a determined Glen Richard's until the last lap where both riders seemed to pull away from the rest by some distance. The final lap saw a dramatic finish to the race with a remarkable manoeuvre at Lodge corner, which saw Glen passing a defending Hudson around the outside just taking the advance to the line. The team was obviously delighted with Hudson's finish under such difficult track conditions and now look forward to build on the earlier successful qualifying at Brands Hatch, Hudson's now stands in third place in the championship with 34 points. The Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship now moves to the rescheduled round at Brands Hatch where Hudson qualified on pole so Hudson is expecting to go one better. Best qualifying time: 1:39.948 Race time: 1:39.677
