Despite a slight handicap due to Vincent Philippe’s injured ankle, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team takes the lead after the first qualifying session for the 8 Hours of Oschersleben. Julien Da Costa signed the best lap in 1’27’’826, just ahead of his team-mate Matthieu Lagrive in 1’27’’877. They were, with Yamaha Deutschland rider Jörg Teuchert, the only three riders in the 1’27 bracket this afternoon at Oschersleben. Despite his injuries, Vincent Philippe did a remarkable 1’28’’828. The second qualifying session will start tomorrow Friday at 10:45 am. The 8 Hours of Oschersleben will start on Saturday at 3 pm. On Sunday, the track will be dedicated to the local German Superbike Championship.
