Despite wet weather and a broken transponder, Hudson “Hurricane” Kennaugh loved every minute of his first experience of the Brands Hatch Indy circuit. A broken transponder left Kennaugh showing as last on the time sheets, however that wasn’t the case as his Carbon Cans Yamaha Team were quick to point out! They clocked him in the 49secs lap time, which in the worse case scenario would have put him in sixteenth position on the grid. Two seconds covers the top eighteen riders and one second covers the top four, to say it is a competitive class would be an understatement! “I’m reasonably happy with how today went,” said Kennaugh “It was wet out there and I don’t know the track so all in all I’m pleased with my times.” His first impression of the roller coaster of a circuit was “Love it! I just hope tomorrow is dry for qualifying,” he concluded.
