Race Ian Lowry, piloting the Relentless By Suzuki TAS powered his way to his second victory of the season at Knockhill (10 August). Debut pole-sitter, Jack Kennedy on the Rob Mac Pro Ride Yamaha R6 was beaten from the lights by James Westmoreland into Seat, the lead changing places to Glen Richards a few corners later. Lowry’s body language portrayed that of determination as he hunted for pass on Richards for the lead.A quick show at Real Radio Hairpin was suitably admonished by Richards on lap 4, but only proved to be dry run for the move to stick two laps later. Lowry powered his GSX-R into a comfortable lead that never he looked in danger of losing over the next sixteen laps. Behind, Richards came under pressure from Westmoreland, with Webb, Kennaugh, Jack Kennedy and David Paton making up the front runners. Local rider David Paton’s race came to an end with a technical on lap 11, leaving the front six to break clear. Chris Martin (Gearlinks Kawasaki) battled throughout the race with Buff Triumph’s Rob Frost, swapping places a number of times as each searched bravely for the same piece of tarmac. As Lowry crossed the line for the start of lap 23, signals came in from Marshall posts to the effect of heavy rain across parts of the circuit. The red fag brought an abrupt conclusion with the result taken from the end of lap 22, declaring Lowry the winner on the track for the frst time this season. Westmoreland took second for Centurion Racing with Glen Richards rounding out the podium. Ian Lowry: “It was absolutely fantastic. The boys have worked hard all weekend, they got the bike set-up on Friday real well and all credit to them and it worked well all day and never missed a beat. The boys back home have been working on the K8 bike to get it transformed into a race winning bike and they've done that today. I've been working on myself pretty hard this last month or so to get into shape and that's paid off well.Thank you to the team and I’m looking forward to Cadwell.” British Supersport - Knockhill Race Result Pos – Rider – Bike – Team - Time 1 - Ian Lowry - Suzuki - Relentless Suzuki by TAS - 18:46.183 2 - James Westmoreland - Honda - Centurion Racing - 18:47.268 3 - Glen Richards - Triumph - MAP Embassy Racing - 18:49.639 4 - James Webb - Honda - Padgetts Motorcycles - 18:51.131 5 - Hudson Kennaugh - Yamaha - Raceways Yamaha - 18:53.506 6 - Jack Kennedy - Yamaha - Rob Mac Proride - 18:57.770 7 - Rob Frost - Triumph - Team Buff - 19:03.272 8 - Chris Martin - Kawasaki - Gearlink Kawasaki - 19:03.352 9 - Paul Young - Triumph - MAP Embassy Racing - 19:04.943 10 - Steven Neate - Kawasaki - Gearlink Kawasaki - 19:05.730 11 - Steve Brogan - Honda - HM Plant Honda - 19:09.587 12 - Sam Owens - Honda - Premier Motorsport - 19:11.480 13 - Dan Linfoot - Honda - Centurion Racing - 18:25.119 14 - John Mcguinness - Honda - Padgetts Batley Ltd - 18:27.417 15 - Andy Weymouth - Yamaha - Linxcel / Seton Tuning - 18:28.617 16 - Pete Spalding - Yamaha - Linxcel / Seton Tuning - 18:35.537 17 - Craig Fitzpatrick - Yamaha - BLDS Couriers - 18:35.874 18 - Ronan Quarmby - Yamaha - Raceways Yamaha - 18:37.156 19 - David Hallett - Triumph - Ross Aldridge Racing - 18:37.307 20 - Jenny Tinmouth - Honda - JennyTinmouth.com/Hollins M'spor - 18:42.370 21 - Lewis Farrow - Yamaha - - 18:48.202 22 - Ben Handley - Honda - N&B Services - 18:51.151 23 - Dean Hipwell - Yamaha - Atherton Godfrey Solicitors - 18:51.908 24 - Conor O'Brien - Honda - Arkwood Honda - 18:52.202 Not Classified DNF - Patrick McDougall - Yamaha - MFC - 17:08.826 DNF - James Hillier - Kawasaki - JMH Raciing - 13:20.253 DNF - Nick Medd - Yamaha - Virgin Media Yamaha - 14:17.215 DNF - David Paton - Yamaha - AIM Racing - 9:00.922 DNF - Joe Dickinson - Yamaha - Trucklinks Yamaha - 8:03.750 DNF - Ashley Beech - Yamaha - Colin Appleyard / Macadam R'g - 6:34.311 DNF - Marty Nutt - Yamaha - Nutt Travel / T+G - 4:35.714 DNF - Ross Walter - Triumph - Interserve Racing - 58.419 Championship Points 1 - Glen Richards - 157 2 - Hudson Kennaugh - 127 3 - Ian Lowry - 120 4 - J Westmoreland - 81 5 - Steve Brogan - 75 6 - Chris Martin - 69 7 - Steve Plater - 45 8 - James Webb - 45 9 - Rob Frost - 43 10 - Ian Hutchinson - 42
