His team-mate Ian Lowry came over the line in second place giving the team the title as well as a one two in the race. Billy McConnell was the first of the Virgin Media Yamahas home taking third place. Dennis Hobbs who had been in second place in the championship crashed out three laps into the restart leaving John McGuinness as the only Padgetts Honda on track. The TT legend finished in fourth place. Aaron Walker on the TJW Honda had an excellent race running at the front until the penultimate lap when McConnell and McGuinness mugged him leaving him back in fifth place. Steve Brogan who is replacing Ian Hutchinson on the Bike Animal Honda was in sixth place just ahead of Cup Champion James Westmoreland. Premier Motorsports Sam Owens finished in seventh ahead of Jamie Robinson on the Bykerbabe/Margal Honda. The final place in the top ten went to Joe Dickinson riding the Trucklinks Honda.
