A Season Of Triumph And Tragedy

Official 2008 Supersport World Championship Review released on DVD

The Supersport World Championship experienced an unpredictable and turbulent season in 2008, with strong fields of talented riders fighting for victory while Yamaha and Triumph battled to break the Honda domination.

Now you can relive the drama of every single round in the Official 2008 Supersport World Championship Review on DVD, brought to fans once again by Duke, the home of two-wheel racing on DVD.

The Official Review brings you the complete story of an incredible year, packed with more than three hours of fast and furious action. The review features comprehensive coverage of all 13 rounds, from the drama of the opening race in Qatar – which saw both Hannspree Ten Kate Honda riders crash out – to the final race in Portugal and the triumphal return of 2007 World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu.

It was drama all the way, with seven different riders claiming wins in some of the closest-ever races – including the truly awesome Assen round which saw Honda teammates Andrew Pitt and Jonathan Rea split by just 0.014 seconds at the chequered flag!

All the highlights of ‘08 are here; Joan Lascorz taking his first World Supersport win, former World Champion Fabien Foret dominating at Monza, the turn one chaos at the Nurburgring and, of course, the

stunning performance of Australian Pitt as he rode to a second World Supersport Championship title with a round to spare.

An incredible mid-season run of success put Pitt in control of the title chase. However, a surge by Britain’s Rea set up an edge-of-the-seat finale to the championship battle – at least until one of the title contenders was pushed off the track at Magny Cours!

Sadly, 2008 will also be remembered as the year the sport lost one of its brightest rising stars. British rider Craig Jones crashed while dicing for the lead at Brands Hatch and tragically succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The 23-year-old had been enjoying one of his best seasons, and the incredible performances captured on the Official Review stand as testament to his awesome talents.

The Official 2008 Supersport World Championship Review is the must-have guide to an unforgettable season.

The official World Supersport 2008 DVD review is released 8th December, priced at £19.99 on DVD and will be available from leading video outlets or direct from Duke Video: Tel 01624 640000, fax 01624 640001 or email mail@dukevideo.com. Visit www.dukevideo.com online.
