Duke is delighted to announce the release of an Official Documentary revealing the fascinating story behind the development of the motorcycles which make MotoGP not only the premier class of two-wheel racing, but also the most thrilling.

MotoGP Evolution of a Species allows fans to discover the incredible full story of how today’s state-of-the-art MotoGP motorcycles have evolved since the first days of the 4-stroke machines. The fascinating DVD charts the development of the iconic machines of the premier class from 2002 right through to 2009, revealing the changes, the challenges and the increasing influence of electronics.

The machines profiled include all the icons - the Ducati Desmosedici, Honda RCV, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR, Suzuki GSV-R and Yamaha YZR-M1. Plus, there’s a look at the efforts of Aprilia, KR, Ilmor, Moriwaki and Harris WCM.

MotoGP Evolution of a Species journeys from the early days of the 990cc motorcycles to the advent of the 800cc machines, charting all the major developments which influenced designs, and results. Crew chiefs, team bosses and top engineers explain the evolution of their machines, the set-backs, the triumphs and how they overcame the technical challenges along the way.

Fans also hear from Grand Prix greats past and present as they reveal what these monsters are like to ride. Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden are among the 2009 MotoGP riders to provide an insight, while we also hear from legends like Mick Doohan, Freddie Spencer and Max Biaggi about how far MotoGP technology has come.

MotoGP Evolution of a Species offers detailed technical close-ups of the motorcycles, behind-the-scenes insight from the factories and pit garages, plus classic racing clips and on-track action right up to the 2009 MotoGP
season.

Bonus features include a detailed study of all the machines on the 2009 MotoGP gird courtesy of the teams’ crew chiefs, plus a glimpse of the future with a look at the new-for-2010 Moto2 class. This is the fascinating story of how the MotoGP monsters of today evolved.

Duke will also be releasing The Official MotoGP and MotoGP 250cc/125cc 2009 Season Reviews in December.

MotoGP Evolution of a Species is released 2 November 2009 on DVD, priced at £19.56 and will be available from leading video outlets or direct from Duke Video: Tel 01624 640 000, fax 01624 640 001 or email mail@dukevideo.com. Visit www.DukeVideo.com online.
