MotoGP Evolution of a Species allows
fans to discover the incredible full story of how today’s
state-of-the-art MotoGP motorcycles have evolved since the
first days of the 4-stroke machines. The fascinating DVD
charts the development of the iconic machines of the
premier class from 2002 right through to 2009, revealing
the changes, the challenges and the increasing influence
of electronics.
The machines profiled include all
the icons - the Ducati Desmosedici, Honda RCV, Kawasaki
Ninja ZX-RR, Suzuki GSV-R and Yamaha YZR-M1. Plus, there’s
a look at the efforts of Aprilia, KR, Ilmor, Moriwaki and
Harris WCM.
MotoGP Evolution of a Species journeys
from the early days of the 990cc motorcycles to the advent
of the 800cc machines, charting all the major developments
which influenced designs, and results. Crew chiefs, team
bosses and top engineers explain the evolution of their
machines, the set-backs, the triumphs and how they
overcame the technical challenges along the way.
Fans also hear from Grand Prix greats past and present as
they reveal what these monsters are like to ride.
Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa, Colin Edwards
and Nicky Hayden are among the 2009 MotoGP riders to
provide an insight, while we also hear from legends like
Mick Doohan, Freddie Spencer and Max Biaggi about how far
