We are delighted to announce
comprehensive and official reviews of the 2008 FIM
Motocross World Championship, Maxxis
ACU
British Motocross Championship and FIM Red Bull
Motocross of Nations are out now,
offering fans more than 10 hours of mud-flinging,
high-jumping drama from the best riders in the world.
The World Championship Review is packed
with so much action we’ve had to release it on two
discs! The great value set features highlights from
every single round of both the MX1 and MX2 title chases.
The best camera angles deliver all the thrills and
spills in stunning action footage, plus there’s informed
commentary, interviews, the podium presentations, a
recap of the incredible ’07 season and on-screen
graphics to keep you on the pace as every race unfolds.
Both title battles went right down to the
final event, with MX1 heroes David Philippaerts, Steve
Ramone and Ken de Dycker locked in a tight battle
throughout the year, and MX2 teammates Tyla Rattray and
Tommy Searle taking their championship clash to the last
day. Plus, fans were treated to the long-awaited return
of factory-backed Hondas to take on the mighty Yamahas,
Suzukis, KTMs and Kawasakis. And then there was Josh
Coppins and his hopes of recovering from the
injury-plagued 2007 season.
The 2008 FIM Motocross World Championship
was enthralling from start to finish. The World
Championship Review brings you every vital moment from
all 15 dust, dirt and, often, mud-filled rounds, making
it the ultimate record of an unforgettable and
fascinating season. The British Championship Review is
another comprehensive look back at a spectacular season,
with highlights from all eight rounds of the incredible
battles for both the MX1 and MX2 championships. Multiple
camera angles bring you all the mud-spitting action,
heroic leaps, massive pile-ups and dramatic dices for
victory. After a nail-biting season of the very best MX
riding, it all came down to the final round at the
famous Hawkstone Park. The eighth and last meeting would
be the venue for the title deciding showdowns in both
classes. Despite moving to a new team, CAS Honda,
reigning British MX1 Champion Billy MacKenzie once again
led the way, until injury put his run towards a second
consecutive title in jeopardy.
But MacKenzie never gives up, and brushed
aside James Noble and Brad Anderson to secure the crown
with one race to spare.
The championship chase was even closer in
MX2, where Shaun Simpson overcame bone-breaking injury
and a season-long duel with hard-charging challengers
Stephen Sword and Martin Barr to take his first National
adult title. Our cameras were there every step of the
way to record every vital moment, gripping showdown,
shocking spill and breathtaking leaps. The best footage,
interviews, informed commentary and more make this the
must-have record of one of the most competitive seasons
of British MX competition.
Last, but by no means last, we have the
official review of the incredible MX of Nations, hosted
by the
UK’s
Donington Park in 2008. The biggest names in motocross
from more than 30 countries competed in the sport’s most
historic event, with a stunning line up including
Philippaerts, Rattray, MacKenzie, American champions
James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto, Searle, Coppins,
Ramon, De Dycker and many more.
The official review features drama from
all three races as the US team bids for yet another
victory, and every other nation battles to break
America’s stranglehold on the MX of Nations title. The
best camera angles bring you all the thrills and spills
in exceptional footage, plus there are interviews with
the stars and a host of special features, including a
complete on-board lap of the challenging and technical
track with Villapoto, a look at how the course was
created, an introduction to all the leading riders and a
complete report on the qualifying races for the 2008 FIM
Red Bull Motocross of Nations.
Every MX fan must have all three titles
in their collection!
