Get
ready for three hours of highlights from a truly
tenacious competition! The Spanish reigned supreme in
this year's unbelievable season, as up-and-comers
Lorenzo and Bautista were crowned champions of their
classes for the first time. This review brings you the
full story, with jaw-dropping coverage of each
fully-loaded round.
In the
250cc class, 19 year old Fortuna Aprilia rider Jorge
Lorenzo became the second youngest World Champion ever.
Winning a massive eight times on his way to the title,
the final race saw Jorge display some inspirational
race-craft, getting into a decent position, maintaining
speed and controlling his advantage in the points table
right until the chequered flag. Italian Andrea Dovizioso,
his main challenger, fought hard to threaten the
Majorcan's bid to secure the championship, and although
he remained in his slipstream, the point gap held by
Jorge was simply too wide for Team Honda to bridge.
You
won't want to miss a moment from the 125cc, featuring a
showcase of racers with the potential to become the next
Rossi! Find yourself cornering in your armchair as
Alvaro Bautista underlines his status as 125cc World
Champion with a dominant performance at Estoril,
Portugal. The 21 year old took the lead on lap two and
simply rode away from the rest of the field. The
advantage of the MVA Aspar Aprilia rider was so strong,
that he was able to back off considerably late in the
race and still win for the eighth time this year by a
huge margin of 15.098 seconds. This victory will see him
and runner up Mika Kallio step up a class and enter the
250cc in 2007.
Corner after corner, track-side and on-bike cameras will
keep you at the heart of the action and on the edge of
your seat. So go ahead and emerse yourself in those
inevitable spills as the pressure heats up on the
circuits and 'the new breed' steal the show.
